:iconjenifferlee:
How did you stumble into the art world?

:iconedlouiearts:
This passion for art started when my big brother showed me what my name looked like. I was very fascinated, though back then I didn't even knew what each letter meant but I was happy to see my name written in a blank book cover. From there my journey started and I continued.

There were my struggles and hindrances that are still fresh in my mind. When I was in high school, I was happy because we finally had an art group. Yes! finally, an art group. Yet I didn't knew that it was also a den for arrogant senior's who would forcefully criticize your work destructively. That they would rip apart my sketch pad and look like demons laughing and stepping on it because they see it as trash.

I didn't say anything. I didn't even fight back. I didn't want any fight so I just told myself that one day you will bow before me and beg me to teach you. Yeah, I know it's the bad kind of motivation. So don't be like me. I struggled and crawled my way to the top and eventually after 2 years in high school they came and wanted me to teach them. Which I obviously rejected. After that, I started to doubt my passion for art. It was the drawback for using the wrong motivation to improve. I didn't know back then if I worked hard for the sake of art or for the sake of surpassing my seniors.

From there I stopped, I stopped for 2 years. All I did was games and sports. It was the period of confusion. With no one to guide me. It felt like there was this meteor art block that hid my head and it got stuck for years. After that time of silence, I came back and from there I started to draw, design and illustrate for a living up until now.

:iconjenifferlee:
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?

:iconedlouiearts:
I don't even know if it's considered as a super power. Yet I want to have super luck! Like being the luckiest man on earth. Where you can be super lucky in anything. Someone shoots you with a gun, a bird suddenly appears and catches the bullet for you because you're super lucky. You fell from a building but survived because there's a truck full of mattresses to catch you. Accidentally you won this prize or found something amazing because of your lucky destiny.

:iconjenifferlee:
Tell us about your #1 source of inspiration.

:iconedlouiearts:
My family I guess. They drive me to work hard and continue my passion. They are the sole reason why I want to work hard and make things work. I live in a 3rd world country. It's really hard to make a living here. And when you get that chance to work and do things you love at the same time. You won't have a 2nd thought of not going for it.

Life is hard, I know where I grew and I know where I belong. They opened my path here in art. They helped me climb to where I am now in my career. For that, I have to carry them in my back and wherever my goals lead me. I want them there with me.

:iconjenifferlee:
Do you have intentions of becoming a professional artist? Why or why not?

:iconedlouiearts:
I want to become a professional artist. Yet due to the fact that we lack in art schools here in the Philippines is the big wall why many of us can't become pros. Like I said, I grew in a place where art is under appreciated. A place where you have to struggle if you want to really learn art.

What more can you get if your country lacks support in art education. But, it won't stop me from there. I will become a professional Artist. Maybe not now, but sometime in the future.

:iconjenifferlee:
Is there any advice you’d like to give to aspiring artists?

:iconedlouiearts:
Never yield in the face of a laughing demon art senior. No matter how harsh the world is, may you be living in a 3rd world country or never experienced having an art teacher. Never yield and pierce your way through. Use every resource that you have. Never subject yourself to bad motivation and keep it in heart that you like Art because it is your life.
